Real Estate Market Reporter

TRIBUS seeks a remote, freelance digital writer for recurring monthly and quarterly work. The writer should have experience with extensive research and interpreting data into an investigative report. The position requires analyzing current real estate market numbers and statistics for specific regions and identifying trends, patterns and changes from year to year and quarter to quarter.

Our client has two regular features for this writer to produce. The first is a brief monthly “Market Snapshot” that updates readers on major recent developments and what to expect in the coming months. The second, more robust feature is its quarterly reports, which require analyzing provided data and spotting trends or changes in the market, and working with the client to explain the changes in the data, so investigative reporting and data analysis are critical skills. The quarterly reports include separate market rundowns county by county; a more specific report on the luxury market; and, perhaps the most high-level piece of reporting, a ghostwritten letter from the company CEO. Altogether, this report runs about 3,000 words, and once you get your bearings in this position, shouldn’t take much more than a couple days of dedicated work.

Experience writing about residential real estate is a plus. This is a writing position, but the bulk of the work will be done in the fact-finding and analysis phase — so strong research skills are key. Please send 2-3 recent writing samples along with your resume.
